Battle Scars, the band’s debut album, blends vintage analog instrumentation & deep rhythms with a new-age digital backdrop. Pulling on influences spanning multiple genres including lo-fi garage rock, 60′s soul, 90′s boom-bap hip-hop, and today’s electronic movement, the result is an unapologetic 12-song manifesto about a band whose members have been through hell and back to make their dreams a reality in a world that’s closing in both socially and politically. Recorded at Cedar Street Studios in Philadelphia with co-producer Ted Richardson (Portugal. The Man, Sleeper), Battle Scars continues has receive great acclaim with the band’s fanbase since it’s release in September 2013.
