After a nearly three-year hiatus, Lovecartel returned to form (and more) in 2019 with the long-awaited EP, Sayonara ’til Tomorrow. The six-track offering is collection of high-wattage alt/indie guitar-driven rock tunes that seamlessly and subtly demonstrate the band’s new-found infatuation with electronica. Mixed and mastered by Alex Santilli (Spice House Sound – Philadelphia), the band made the conscious decision to produce and recorde the tracks themselves, seeking to capture the lo-fi, high-energy essence that they’ve come to be known for. In June of 2019, the band led off the release with the heavy-hearted single ‘So We Slowed’, followed up a month later by the feel-good sing along ‘Festival Girl’. Notably, the EP contains a distortion-laden cover version of Lana Del Rey’s ‘West Coast’, an unexpected favorite of lead singer Ash Kernen, as well as a remixed & remastered version of the 2016 release ‘Longest Walk Off’.
